Kestrel Aboriginal Community Development Fund
The Kestrel Aboriginal Community Development Fund has been established to provide funds to support a range of community projects that deliver positive, constructive, real and sustainable outcomes to the Aboriginal Community of Interest, the Kangoulu People and other Aboriginal people within the project area. The Fund is administered by the Aboriginal Community Development Fund Committee.
The Fund was launched in early 2009 and is now operational.
Launched in 2008, the Kestrel Aboriginal Community Development Fund is providing funds to support a range of community projects that deliver positive, constructive, real and sustainable outcomes to the Aboriginal Community of Interest, the Kangoulu People and other Aboriginal people within the project area. 
In 2009 the Fund supported 21 projects, investing $259,395 in the Emerald region:
